What is philosophical counseling?
Philosophical counseling can be understood as a process of aiding the birth of human thought by analyzing the patterns of life using the Socratic method, with the goal being that each individual be assisted along the path to their authentic existence of being a true, good, and beautiful human being. Philosophical counselors are academically trained philosophers who utilize their philosophical knowledge and skills to help guide their clients through life.

How is philosophical counseling practiced at Holland & Company?
At Holland & Company, clients have the option to meet with a philosopher for 50-minutes, either in-person or remotely, on a weekly or bi-weekly basis. Clients also have the option of obtaining remote access to a philosopher outside of their scheduled meetings for an additional fee.
All in-person sessions are held at the Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art located at 600 Museum Way in Bentonville, Arkansas.
